PENCIL/NATURE due this Friday, 2pm…

Hello fellow art challuungers!  It’s Wednesday, time for another nag email/post about the challuunge that is due this Friday by 2pmPST.  If you haven’t started already, that’s ok, I am sure you are not alone.  But why not start jotting down some ideas and work on it at lunch time today, tomorrow and maybe even Friday.  You will have until 2pm to submit your entry and then we will all have the weekend to vote on our favorite submission.  If anyone has a suggestion on words for next week’s challuunge, please email your words to: artchalluunge@gmail.com.  The winner of this week’s challuunge will pick the words for the following week…

Have you started on your submission yet?

 

What?  You forgot?  Art Challuunge is back everyone!  Pass it on!  Tell your friends and enemies!  Don’t worry, you all still have until NEXT Friday to send in your PENCIL / NATURE submissions.  Maybe this weekend you might come across something in nature that reminds you of a pencil and you will immediately sketch a thumbnail or write down a clever haiku?  Maybe you will be writing with a pencil and decide to snap a photo on your cell phone and submit that?  Maybe you will happen upon a UFO crash site deep in the wilderness and you will discover that the only way to communicate with the injured aliens is to make invisible drawings in the air with an imaginary pencil, thereby triggering the laughing chemical in their brains which will instantly heal them and permit you to become their leader… write it down!  Take a picture!  Snag pics off the internet and merge em together with Photoshop or GIMP (which is free, by the way).  Sculpt something with your kids playdoh!  Make some paper mache or origami sculptures that have nothing to do with the words, only that they inspired you to do so!  Grab a sharpie and mark up your buddy that’s past out on the couch from drinkin too much caffeine free diet soda… Anything and everything is accepted!  This is between you and your creativity… get it out… let it breath… and for heaven sake, shave that thing!

Tell everybody you know: R-WAC is back!

Dear friends and family it’s official… we are BACK!  It’s been damn near a year since the last official random words art challuunge, and it’s about time we start this up again.  So, do ya want to know the story behind the death and resurrection of this site?  Well, we’ll save that for another day.  We were trying to find another forum or site to host R-WAC but decided to get it kickin off first and worry about the formalities later.  In the meantime, we will be starting this here little contest back up, right where we left off.  (At least for the time being.) 

So, in case you are new or totally forgot how this site ticks, here’s how it works:

Random Words Art Challuunge:
Open to anyone and everyone.
All forms of art or creative works are accepted.
(drawing, writing, nose goblin mosaics, sculpting, painting, spit-ball collages, etc…)
Spread the word and the community will grow.
Join the mailing list: artchalluunge@gmail.com.

1. Two words are revealed on Friday.
2. Submissions are due the following Friday by 2pm and will be posted shortly thereafter.
   (Email submissions to artchalluunge@gmail.com or just sign up to receive the notifications.)
3. Voting is open to anyone and everyone, until Tuesday.  The winner will be announced that afternoon.
4. Winner has until Friday to submit the next week’s two “random” words.
5. Go to #1 and repeat.

So this round we are going to extend it two weeks, and we reserve the right to do so for any reason what-so-ever, at any time.  Here are the next TWO week’s words for you to create from:
