A long time ago, in a blogosphere far far away… there were some dudes that thought that there should be a challenge, nay, a CHALLUUNGE! to bring together artists who do art for a living and artists who do art for fun… and thus, the Random Words Art Challuunge was born, May 29th, 2009.
Ever since that fateful day the challuunges have been presented in several different ways.
- First there was the 3 word challuunges, which were thought to be too challenging to the modern challengers.
- In the beginning the words were randomly drawn from a list of random words that subscribers provided, along with the admin’s lists… three sets of three words were randomly drawn and voted on by the admin’s and the most popular was chosen for that week’s words.
- Then, the power of the weekly random word choosing was turned over to the submitters, and the voting system was generated to allow the person with the most votes each week to choose the following week’s words.
- The random words were then cut from 3 to 2 words per week.
And this is how it has remained for quite sometime now. If it weren’t for you the submitter’s, this blog would be one dude submitting and winning each week… so thank you all… you rule the RWAC universe, whether you know it or not…
