Ok, we screwed up… Voting is extended…

Dear art challuunge people of the world… we screwed up.  It was an honest mistake and we are sincerely sorry.  We forgot to include a submission for last week’s METAL / SYRUP challuunge (sorry Naoki, we suck).  So in the spirit of fairness we have hemmed and hawed over this for the better part of 20 minutes this morning and came up with this solution.  We are going to start the voting over for the submissions for METAL / SURUP and extend the voting until this Wednesday at 2pm. We apologize to everyone that has already received votes but we figured this was the fairest way to handle this.

Have you started on your Metal / Syrup yet?

It’s not too late to get started.  It is the middle of the week… where are your creative juices flowing to?  There are many things that you can do in life, one of which just happens to be participate in the weekly art challuunge that has been presented here on the intranets… FREE OF COST TO YOU ALL!!!  It is that simple.  You can now express your creativity for absolutely no monitary gain, but for only the love of art and community.  Sounds good right?  I bet that most of you out there have stopped reading this by now.  Statistics show that if there are more than two sentences on a blog that an angel gets her wings.  Well, we are just doing our part.  BLIIING!  >Wings appear<

So for something a little different, how about a couple of definitions that may spark your mind into a new direction:

Have you started on your Radioactive/Butterfly?

Have you started to think about your idea for Radioactive / Butterfly yet?  Will you take a photo?  Will you manipulate something in Photoshop?  Will you make a mashed potato sculpture ala “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”?  Are you going to mow your lawn into some shape or design?  What ever you decide to do, it’s due this Friday.  This is just a friendly reminder to start thinking about, and maybe even start working on, what you want to do for this week’s challuunge.  The picture above is what Google pulls up when you search in images.  What will yours be?  We can’t wait to see what your mind comes up with… 

STARTER IDEA OF THE DAY: Have you always wanted to manipulate photos like the pros but don’t have Photoshop handy? Would you like to use a free online program to see if you REALLY like it?  Well good news for you: http://www.picnik.com/ is a free online photo editor.  You may just find that you like to manipulate photos so much that you have to get Photoshop right away.  You never know?  Give it a shot.  We’ll see you all this Friday for the art work submissions and the voting.

This week’s art challuunge is due in a couple of hours.  Have you done yours yet?  Just one art challuunge submission a week will make you a healthier person and will produce disease fighting antibodies that will ward off dragon attacks in dark alleys (which happens more than one might think).

Weekly Challuunge: The Nag Post

 

Good day to all Art Challuungers of the world!  We are happy to bug you about your submissions for this week’s challuunge.  The words for this week are OLD / VIKING.  Have you started your photo session/pencil sketch/cooking project/crayon creation/quick dry cement sculpture yet?  NO!?  Well why not start something now?  I mean, it won’t hurt at all and will only get those creative juices flowing that you may not have felt since that sophomore art class you took back in high school… To the left is the first pic that Google Search pulls up when you type in OLD / VIKING.

So head on out into the great wide open and create something this week.  Your brain will thank you!
